I was part of the design team for the Chair of the Future. We created a chair that is a reminder of the three pillars of sustainability: economic, social and ecological. This message is reflected in the chosen materials and shape of the chair, inspired by the TU/E logo. The chair was presented to the TU/e Executive Board and all other university leaders at the opening of the academic year together with a statement and video. With the chair, we want to remind and encourage our university leadership that a sustainable future should always be considered and “have a seat at the decision-making table”.
